I live in the shadow of this mountain. It used to be sacred summer grounds for the Ohlone and Miwok Native Americans before the settlers showed up in the 1800s. It’s also a growing mountain - it grows around a 1/2 cm a year, and it’s one of the only mountains that, from its peak, an ocean, desert, valley, and mountain range are all visible.  cornersoftheworld: Mt.
